Description: 

The K-Pop Dance and Music Program from DDSTEAM channels the global phenomenon of
Korean Pop into a high-energy class focused on dance, performance, and teamwork. Students
will dive into the world of K-Pop, learning the iconic choreography and stage presence of their
favorite artists in a fun, supportive, and project-based environment.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the program, students will:

● Master Choreography & Technique: Learn and execute official K-Pop choreography,
focusing on details, formations, and fundamental dance techniques.
● Develop Performance Skills: Build confidence, stage presence, and the ability to
convey emotion through facial expressions and movement.
● Understand Musicality & Rhythm: Develop a strong sense of rhythm, timing, and the
ability to synchronize movements precisely with the music.
● Collaborate & Synchronize: Work effectively within a group to learn formations and
perform as a cohesive and synchronized team.
● Express & Appreciate: Gain a deeper appreciation for the artistry and cultural aspects
of K-Pop while developing their own unique style.

Instructional Strategies

Our program uses a hands-on, student-centered approach to learning through three key
strategies:

● Performance-Based Learning: Students work in small groups towards a final goal:
performing a complete K-Pop dance routine.
● Guided Discovery & Practice: Instructors break down complex moves into simple steps,
encouraging students to practice and perfect their technique at their own pace.
● Scaffolding & Differentiation: The curriculum is designed to support all skill levels, from
absolute beginners to experienced dancers.
Tools & Technology Used
● Structured Dance Curriculum: A curated selection of popular and classic K-Pop
choreographies, organized by difficulty level to ensure steady progression for all
students.
● Sound System: To play music with the clarity and bass needed for an authentic dance
experience.
