Description: EXCITING NEW MUSIC OPPORTUNITY! This year, Blue Oak School's 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are invited to become members of the inaugural Blue Oak Daybreak Chorus under the direction of Kim Markovich.
This performance group will meet for a 16 CLASS SESSION once a week on Tuesdays BEFORE SCHOOL, in the Lower School MPR Room from 7:30 to 8:15 AM. Occasional, 7:30 to 8:15 AM extra rehearsals will be scheduled on Thursday mornings, prior to performances.
During weekly rehearsals, group members will be exploring part-singing and developing vocal/choral technique. There will be solo/group opportunities wihin the context of group selections with the possibility of additional opportunities based on group skill level and interests.
Childcare option from 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. for siblings of chorus students.
Performances: Performance opportunities for the Blue Oak Daybreak Chorus will include occasional Community Meeting (dates to be determinded), Acorns to A-Chords annual music performance in January (dates to be determined), and possible Napa community events.
