Description: 

Welcome to the wonderful world of bucket drumming!

This performance group will meet for a 8 CLASS SESSION, once a week on Thursdays after school. Occasional extra rehearsals will be schedueled prior to performances.

This enrichment is meant to introduce young minds to music through drumming.

This class will focus on learning: drum stick grips and sticking techniques, as well as how to play "coordinated polyrhythms" and "time conducting". Students will have a chance to compose their own rhythm, songs, and work as a team to build rhytm-based compositions. 


EDUCATION BENEFITS
1. Developing hand eye coordination and basic drum skills
2. Learning basic singing techniques - finding and holding pitch.
3. Learning teamwork and working within groups as well as performance
preparation and execution.
4. Learning basic beginning music theory

OBJECTIVES
1. The main objective of this enrichment program is to have fun while learning to drum.
2. To prepare for and complete a short spring performance 
 

Peformances: Performing opportunities will inlude occasional Community Meetings (dates to be determined), Acorns to A-Chords annual music performance in January (dates to be determined), and possiblee Napa community events.
