Move, Groove & Shine!
An 8-Week Hip Hop Dance Adventure

Get ready to move, groove, and find your rhythm! In this fun and energetic 8-week class, elementary students will explore the exciting world of hip hop dance, music, rhythm, and physical fitness. Students will learn foundational dance moves, develop coordination and body awareness, and discover how music and movement come together to create dance.

Through games, choreography, freestyle activities, and group challenges, students will build confidence while learning to express themselves through movement. Each week will introduce new skills and help students grow as dancers while staying active and having fun!

Students will:

• Learn foundational hip hop dance moves, steps, and combinations.
• Explore rhythm, beats, tempo, and musicality.
• Develop coordination, balance, flexibility, strength, and endurance.
• Learn how dance can be a fun form of physical fitness.
• Practice following choreography and remembering movement patterns.
• Explore freestyle dance and creative self-expression.
• Build confidence, teamwork, focus, and positive communication.
• Learn about the history and culture of hip hop and its influence on music and dance.
• Work together to create and perform a final dance routine.
