MMA with Adam (Mixed Martial Arts)

Time:  3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Location: Blue Oak School (1436 Polk St, Napa CA 94559)

Date: Mondays - 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/28, 11/4, 11/18 (no class on 10/14 or 10/21)

Description:

During this youth MMA course, students will learn jujitsu, boxing, wrestling, muay thai, and kickboxing techniques. As well as

disciplinary tactics like meditation and mindfulness.

Students will learn the importance of self motivation and accountability. Each student will be expected to learn the names of the basic offensive and defensive techniques that are involved in mixed martial arts and will be quizzed/tested on this throughout their class time. 

Students will also learn about proper nutrition, adequate sleep, and respecting themselves and those around them. Most importantly, they will learn that it is best to walk away from any potentially dangerous or violent situation.

They will also be challenged physically and mentally making it a fun interactive learning environment . 

Intructor Bio:

Just a little about myself, I was born and raised in Napa California. I studied sociology, as well as sports medicine at the Napa Valley College after highschool . I’ve been training martial arts for close to 20 years if you count wrestling as a child. I won several state titles, as well as placing in several world championships in Brazilian jujitsu.

When I decided to start my mixed martial arts journey, I went on to winning several amateur titles in different weight classes. I decided to turn pro in mixed martial arts in 2018. I won my first few fights and soon graduated to fighting on television. My first big break was for Bellator MMA on showtime which to this day would be the largest stage of competition on the that I’ve experienced.

I’ve been teaching youth and adult martial arts for eight years. My favorite thing about teaching children is to witness their growth, and to hear their parents positive feedback on their general improvements of their child whether it be: better grades in school , improved attitude at home , improved general discipline/ order , etc .
